This position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:300PM, evenings as needed
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our team. A Tire Technician is responsible for mounting, dismounting, and balancing tires on heavy service, passenger, and light trucks.
Employees in this position will be working outdoors on roadside calls as well as in the shop and must be focused on both safety and customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions and Tasks:
- Mount and dismount new/used and retreaded tires on heavy service equipment, passenger trucks and light duty trucks
- Perform tire maintenance on fleet trucks
- Maintain updated reports as needed on fleet accounts
- Balance tires utilizing appropriate equipment
- Communicate safety concerns, company vehicle issues and customer problems with service manager or store manager immediately
- Mount and dismounting of new/used customer wheels from customer fleets
- Responsible for various types of tire repairs
- Execute pre-designed service programs (Mounted Tire Program).
- Responsible for daily safety pre-trip inspections on service truck
- Keep service truck and service area clean to maintain a safe work environment
- Responsible for following all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOL
- Understand tire design and tread patterns
- Must be available 24 hours/day during scheduled on-call shift
- Any other duties assigned by the store manager
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a tire technician
- Clean driving record
- Valid NC driver’s license
- TIA Certification preferred

Required Physical Abilities:
Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:
- Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 50-150lbs regularly.
- Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
- Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.
- Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
- Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.
Work Environment:
This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces.
