Essential Duties

1. Prepare nourishments for patients.

2. Serve food to patients according to the instructions on their tray card.

3. Serve staff meals.

4. Clean equipment after use. Clean work area.

5. Assist in preparation of meal items as assigned by the cook.

6. Handle, store and refrigerate food in proper manner.

8. Clean up dining room and tables.

9. Supervise and instruct kitchen workers regarding food preparation and cleaning.

10. Clean work area and equipment.

11. Attend in-service meeting and training classes.

12. Monitor sanitation and temperature forms.

13. Perform other tasks as assigned.

14. Follow all policies and procedures of the Dietary Department.

15. Adhere to all facility and department safety policies and procedures.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Food Handlers Certificate

Must be able to follow orders and properly perform assigned tasks.
