About This Position
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team. This role assists customers and service technicians in identifying, sourcing, and purchasing the correct automotive parts in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate delivers exceptional customer service while maintaining accurate inventory control and supporting the overall efficiency of the service department.
Key Responsibilities- Assist retail and internal customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls, provide pricing and availability information, and promote related or companion parts when appropriate.
- Review service estimates to ensure parts ordered are accurate and pricing aligns with approved estimates.
- Pull, fill, and prepare parts orders for service technicians, retail customers, delivery, or shipment.
- Source out-of-stock parts through outside vendors, submit emergency orders when necessary, and follow up on back-ordered or special-order parts.
- Communicate with service advisors and customers regarding order status, including arrival of special-order parts and delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate inventory by replenishing assigned stock, monitoring shortages, and notifying management of parts requiring immediate attention.
- Process customer transactions including payments, charge authorizations, credits for returns, and ensuring all invoices and documentation are accurate and properly signed.
- Maintain organized records of repair orders, invoices, estimates, and special-order parts.
- Manage will-call and back-order files, ensuring unclaimed items are returned to vendors or restocked as appropriate.
- Maintain a clean, organized parts counter and professional work environment.
- Participate in training programs and stay current on new products, updates, and dealership procedures.

- Previous automotive parts or dealership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems is a plus.
