About This Position
Verita Telecommunications is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee materials, assets and warehouse. Responsibilities included but not limited to:
· Organizing warehouse, keeping track of inventory and reporting to customer.
· Asset tracking and support maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
· Identify damaged, lost or missing merchandise and notify supervisor immediately
· Support and work collaboratively with Corporate Fleet Management team.
· Schedule vehicle and asset preventative maintenance with local automotive shop(s).
· Maintain positive working relationship with local repair, and equipment facilities.
· Pick up and deliver supplies as necessary
· Receive merchandise for return or delivery and verify its contents.
· Support and maintain proper quantities of job specific materials at jobsite Laydown yard.
· Other related duties as assigned by Construction Manager, and Corporate Asset Management Team.
· Serve as the point of contact for the to the Fleet Management team regarding the vehicles, trailers, and the maintenance required.
CERTIFICATIONS (OBTAINABLE/RENEWABLE UPON ACCEPTANCE but required):
· CDL preferred
· Forklift Certification preferred
· Order Selector
· Pallet Jack
· Pull Cart
· Ladder
· Microsoft Access Software
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Mechanical aptitude, for basic to intermediate equipment/vehicle and trailer repairs.
· Must be able to work in cooperation with others.
· Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments.
· Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
· Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends
· Should possess special skills in the operation of a forklift in negotiating the lift in close quarters.
· Experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred.
· High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent desired.
· One year of warehouse related experience.
· Forklift certification preferred or the ability to receive training.
· Microsoft Office skills; Intermediate to advance MS Excel knowledge.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
· This position requires individuals to constantly be on their feet.
· Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights.
· They must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb and be able to move/lift, up to 75 pounds regularly.
· Must be able to climb ladders, stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet.
· Able to tolerate high and low temperature levels.
· The noise level in the work environment could vary to moderately loud.
· Some travel may be required.
· Self-motivated.
· Must be able to multitask as workload dictates.
· Promote and maintain a professional image.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Maintain dock areas and warehouses, in house and off site.
