Staff Accountant

Full-Time (Gig Harbor, WA)

Reports to: Controller

Compensation: Pay range is $30-$36 per hour + $3,000 Signing Bonus!

Were looking for a Staff Accountant who wants more than routine accounting work. This role is for someone who enjoys ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants visibility into the full financial picture of a growing business.

What Youll Do

Youll own full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of multifamily communities and play a key role in financial operations.

Lead monthly close for assigned communities

Prepare accurate, timely financial statements across multiple entities

Manage accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets

Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations

Support AP/AR processes and cash management

Prepare WA B&O and Sales & Use Tax filings

Partner cross-functionally on budgeting, forecasting, audits, and process improvements

Identify inefficiencies and help improve systems and workflows

What Were Looking For

2+ years of accounting experience (property management strongly preferred)

Strong Excel skills (youre comfortable working with real data, not just formatting)

Experience with Yardi (intercompany experience = big plus)

Detail-oriented but able to see the bigger financial picture

Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities

Strong communicator you can explain numbers, not just produce them
