About This Position
Summary:
Engineering firm in Miami, Florida, seeking a highly skilled Structural Inspector to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing field inspections, evaluating existing structures, and preparing technical assessment reports to help ensure the integrity and safety of various structures. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and experience in structural inspections and existing-building evaluations
Key responsibilities:
• Conduct structural inspections on buildings, parking structures, exiting schools, and related structural systems to assess condition, safety, and compliance with regulations.
Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, photo documentation, and repair recommendations.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, industry standards, and client requirement.
Work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and project managers on assessment, renovation, and repair projects.
Utilize software and tools for report preparation, documentation, and basic structural evaluation
Provide expert recommendations for repairs, reinforcements, or modifications.
Conduct on-site testing and supervise field investigations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Minimum of (3-7) years of experience in structural inspection.
Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction techniques.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
Ability to work in outdoor and construction site environments.
