About This Position
JMA Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Records Information Specialist to join our Support Services department at our Raleigh location.
This position will support the practice by processing incoming medical documents with confidentiality in a timely manner.
Duties will include retrieving, organizing and distributing patient health documents to ensure accurate data for patient care. This will require excellent phone etiquette while reaching out to patients/parents and medical offices. The medical records information specialist will work closely with our clinical team members to facilitate timely and accurate medical document needs, while maintaining a very high level of professionalism and customer service/patient satisfaction.
This position will process incoming patient medical documents in a confidential timely manner and supports answering patient calls and appointment scheduling during high volume times.
Qualifications:
*Previous medical record processing experience in a medical office environment preferred.
*HIPAA Regulations knowledge.
*Previous experience in customer service, phone etiquette and data entry.
*Self-driven and professional.
*Excellent data entry, written and verbal communication skills.
*Accurate with high attention to detail.
