The Speech Pathology Group & Rehab Services of CT (SPGCT) is growing and is looking for an attentive, structured, and pleasant Scheduling Coordinator to join our administrative team!
As a Scheduling Coordinator with SPGCT, you will serve as a liaison between our clinical team and our patients, placing a focus on Patient Relations. This position requires managing high volume of communication with patients by phone, in person, and through email (most of our patients are children, whose families require flexible scheduling, patience, and diligence).

Qualifications:
1+ years administrative/scheduling experience in a medical office setting
Advanced communication: Articulate, fluent, & pleasant phone & email presentation
Well-structured organizational skills
Attendance & Punctuality
Ability to effectively learn modern technology programs and processes
Knowledge of Insurance & Medical terminologies
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience navigating EMR systems
Working knowledge of ST/OT/PT/ABA medical terminology
Responsibilities:
Coordinates scheduling of treatments and appointments for multiple therapists and disciplines while facilitating dates with patients
Assures therapist preferences with the available resources
Manages patient relations, providing personalized service, fielding inquiries, and communicating schedule changes to both families and staff
Answers patient calls in a professional, courteous and timely manner
Clearly documents in system all communication with staff, patients and/or family members
Tactfully and professionally interacts daily with clinical staff to ensure patients are scheduled appropriately
Coordinates efforts with Lead Scheduling Coordinator, troubleshooting all issues related to scheduling process, including but not limited to adjusting resources for optimum scheduling and patient satisfaction
Ensures compliance with practice guidelines
Actively maintain supplemental therapy materials, office presentation & orderliness, and report any department needs to Office Manager
