Job Summary
The Veterinary Clinical Liaison (VCL) I role focuses is on teleradiology case management, serving as a coordination point between veterinary clinic partners, radiologists, and internal operational teams, reviews and ensures diagnostic imaging cases are complete, accurate, and delivered within established service timelines. This role supports the intake, preparation, and coordination of veterinary diagnostic imaging studies including radiographs, CT, MRI, and ultrasound studies. The role requires strong attention to detail, medical terminology familiarity, strong typing speed, and the ability to work in a fast-paced remote environment where urgency and responsiveness are critical.

Essential Job Functions
- Serve as coordination point between radiologists, clinical teams, customer support, and veterinary clinic partners
- Review submitted imaging cases for completeness, quality, and required information prior to radiologist interpretation, troubleshooting, and communicating as needed.
- Ensure cases meet operational turnaround time expectations including urgent and standard workflows
- Monitor incoming case queues to meet service-level expectations including consistent responsiveness in a fast-paced remote environment, support operational workflow coordination and case preparation processes
- Escalate workflow issues or delays to senior staff or leadership as appropriate
- Utilize internal systems including Salesforce, RIS System, Microsoft 365, and live chat tools to manage cases and communications
- Maintain detailed documentation of case activity and communications
- Teleradiology case management
- Troubleshoot platform and image issues regarding case submission, file transfer, and image quality
- Understanding triage for critical case submission
- Ability to solve problems in a self-directed setting demonstrating strong judgment including determination of when to escalate or seek clarification
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, client, and company information
Additional Responsibilities and Requirements
- Support team efforts to maintain service turnaround goals (1-hour priority cases and 24-hour standard cases)
- Participate in team training and operational improvement initiatives
- Participate in onboarding training and ongoing skill development
- Maintain reliable internet connectivity and remote work environment
- Additional duties in support of the organization.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
- Associate’s degree required from AVMA accredited school Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Veterinary technician certifications or credentials LVT, CVT, RVT
- Minimum 3 years of veterinary clinical experience
- Experience with proper radiographic techniques is a must.
- Exposure to advanced imaging modalities (Ultrasound, CT, MRI) preferred.
- Working knowledge of anatomy, diagnostic imaging and veterinary medical terminology
- Typing speed of 60 words per minute or faster
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable internet bandwidth of 100–300 Mbps

Cognitive and Physical Demands
- Managing demands with urgency and efficiency, working with tight deadlines, and regulatory compliance, potentially stressful environment. The Veterinary Clinical Liaison must employ effective stress management techniques to maintain well-being and productivity.
- Frequently sitting at a desk, utilizing, learning, and implementing software platforms. Requires ability to learn and use new software and systems, having intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Products.
- Work requires extended computer use and high-volume case processing
- Ability to review and interpret medical documentation and imaging submission details quickly, thoroughly, and accurately.
- Fast-paced environment requiring strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Continuous written and digital communication with veterinary clinics and internal teams
- Remote work requiring sustained focus and independent workflow management
Working Conditions
- Fully remote position
- Computer-based work environment with high case volume
- VCR provides required computer equipment and monitors and partial reimbursement for internet service. Employees must maintain stable high-speed internet and a professional home office environment with minimal background noise to ensure effective communication and productivity.
