About This Position

Description:

Ascentec Engineering is hiring a CNC Weekend Shift Supervisor! We believe that each employee makes a significant contribution to our success. It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her/their services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.

The team member that is selected for this full time Weekend Shift Lead position will be someone that has demonstrated an ability to perform well, think critically, has shown the ability to be a positive example, has demonstrated leadership ability, and is experience working with precision machined parts. Job duties include ability to assign tasks, give feedback to team both positive and negative, work with sustaining engineering to develop 5’s standards and maintain a positive efficient production environment.

Friday-Sunday 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

This position is onsite at our Dallas, Oregon facility (not remote/not hybrid) and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

CNC Experience required

Requirements:

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Daily:

  • Lead all employee activities on Weekend shift
  • Utilize “Task List” daily to assign employee priorities
  • Maintain Quality level as specified in ARC Training
  • Monitor team efficiency standards per ARC Training
  • Identify all non-conformance root causes as they pertain to certain work centers
  • Assign daily 5’s action items to set expectations for daily standard work
  • Maintain adherence to shop processes and MES system requirements
  • Ensure employees follow all shop Safety guidelines
  • Develop and maintain staffing plan for Weekend shift
  • Train all new employees to our 90-day training program
  • Identify machining/personnel issues and configure resources in accordance with top priority assignments.
  • Work with quality to determine priorities and resolve quality issues
  • Promote process
  • Enforce company policies
  • Manage all weekend shift employee disciplinary actions
  • Administer employee warnings and writeups as required

Weekly:

  • Meet with Manager for weekly one on one

Monthly:

  • Complete Monthly employee reviews
  • Identify glaring weaknesses
  • Encourage employees with positive reinforcement for positive activities
  • Set achievable goals that align with company efficiency goals and quality targets

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Works in a machine shop environment
  • May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
  • Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed.

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS:

  • $50,000 to $85,000 DOE
