• Lead and manage a small cross-functional engineering team (backend and frontend), ensuring alignment, productivity, and strong team dynamics
• Actively contribute to product development alongside the team, balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on coding
• Drive hiring efforts, including interviewing candidates and supporting onboarding processes for new team members
• Foster a positive team environment by providing continuous feedback, coaching, and career development support
• Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for the team, ensuring clear communication and alignment with stakeholders
• Promote engineering best practices, efficient workflows, and high-quality code delivery
• Encourage collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous improvement across the team

• Proven experience managing engineering teams (at least 2+ direct reports) in a professional environment
• Strong backend development expertise, particularly with technologies such as Elixir/Phoenix or similar frameworks
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, architecture, and development best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Demonstrated ability to balance technical execution with leadership responsibilities
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing projects and team workflows
