Essential Responsibilities and Abilities

1. Project Manager’s responsibilities and abilities include but are not limited to the list below.
2. Lead all phases of construction from planning to closeout.
3. Manage budgets, schedules, resources, and contract finances to ensure profitability.
4. Oversee subcontractor coordination, site progress, and compliance with specs.
5. Conduct site visits and team meetings to track progress and resolve issues.
6. Prepare and manage budgets, change orders, reports, and documentation.
7. Work with Superintendents to handle scope changes and minimize risks.
8. Approve invoices, payroll, and manage billing.
9. Build and maintain strong client and vendor relationships.
10. Direct and support project engineers and field staff.

1. Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
2. 5+ years of experience on heavy civil projects ($5M–$30M) including concrete, bridge, roadway, and excavation work.
3. 2+ years supervising junior project engineers.
4. Proficient in reading blueprints/specs and handling RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
5. Strong communication skills for working with clients, agencies, and stakeholders.
6. Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
