Coordinator, Adult Education & Literacy Grants - Central Campus

• Work with the Adult Education and Literacy Team to extend literacy education training to community members throughout the San Jacinto College District.
• Accurate data entry in multiple databases.
• Monitor data collection and prepare various reports for regulatory concerns and internal communications.
• Maintain course schedules, student calendars, instructor assignments.
• Maintain auditable documentation, both electronic and hard copy, of lesson plans and course participation.
• Collect, audit, code, and submit timesheets for all instructors and project personnel.
• Acquire certification in test assessment in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking for regular evaluation of student progress in the 4 types of literacy.
• Maintain accuracy in testing assessment sufficient to meet state requirements.
• Maintain accurate log of instructor hours and student attendance for all classroom instruction.
• Assist in development of forms and supplemental activities related to Distance Learning for the project.
• General filing and customer service in person and on the phone.
• Coordinate document processing flow and provide English/Spanish translation services for student intake and testing events.
• Participate in recruitment and outreach activities for multiple off-campus program sites.

• Strong computer skills in MS Office and experience with data collection and management
• Ability to demonstrate the College values

• Associate degree and 3 years of experience in grant funded training/education programs.
• A high school diploma and 6 years of experience in grant funded training/education programs may be considered in lieu of an associate degree.

• Bachelor’s degree in related area

• Five (5) years of experience in grant funded training/education programs
• Computer experience in Banner student management software and/or the state TEAMS database
• Bilingual/Spanish reading, writing, and translation
