CAH-Lab-Phlebotomist – Per Diem-Day Shift-8a-4p; variable shifts as needed-Req- 9156

Pay Range:

Without Certification: $20.57-$25.17*+#

With Certification: $23.94-$27.30*+#

Receives outpatient specimens for laboratory analysis. Accurately transcribes orders from physician prescriptions to laboratory requisition. Obtain patient blood from outpatients as required. Assist in testing and other lab tests as deemed appropriate and within their scope of practice. The hospital lab manager sorts and distributes complied laboratory test requisitions to appropriate locations. Assists technicians and technologists in running/processing specimen testing. Answers the telephone and gives reports, schedules test, and directs calls to proper location as needed. Maintains safety regulations and cleanliness standards within the section. Follows hospital and laboratory policies. Will fill in and assist in registration and any other administrative duties.

Qualifications:

• Preferably one year of office/phlebotomy experience in the medical field.

• Patient care experience will be prioritzed, if no phlebotomy experience

• Must possess knowledge of age specific needs and growth and development requirements for the infant through geriatric age population served as is relevant to Laboratory procedures.

+This rate does not include shift differential of $5 for hours worked between 3p-11p. Must work at least 4 hours to qualify.
